Take the iwanttoplantachurch.com 2-minute church planting quiz
Connect with your district/Network CMN Rep
Schedule a meeting with your CMN Rep
Try to schedule time to meet face-to-face with your district's CMN Representative. Sometimes this may not be possible, so have a backup plan to communicate through Skype, Google Hangouts, or another conferencing tool. Your CMN Rep will help you walk through the Learn, Launch, Lead process of planting a church.
Confirm your AG Credentials
The Church Multiplication Network is the official church planting arm of the Assemblies of God in the United States. In order to plant as a CMN church, you will need to be credentialed as an AG minister.
Connect with your district/Network office
Let your district know that you are planning to start a church in their area, and ask about potential church planting resources your district may offer.
Take an online assessment
You've already taken the 2-minute church planting quiz, but now you'll need to get more in-depth. Taking an assessment is a key component in discovering your strengths and weaknesses as a church planter.
Watch training videos
Get started on your training by watching the videos under "Getting Started" at churchmultiplication.net
Register for CMN Launch church planter training
Launch is the Church Multiplication Network’s official training event for church planters. At Launch, you'll get the very best that we have to offer, and get connected with the resources, networking, and training you need to prepare for the launch of your church. Launch is also one of the major steps toward qualifying for the CMN and AGTrust Matching Fund (up to $50,000 in funding for new churches).
Complete your launch Pre-work
After registering for Launch, you will receive a pre-work package to be completed before you attend your training event. Complete all of your pre-work and watch all of the included training videos and you'll be ready to work through it together with your table coach when you attend CMN Launch.
Start working on your ministry plan
At this stage you will also work on your initial ministry plan. A ministry plan provides a clear picture of your community and your church to people who may not know you or the area you are planting in. Having a developed ministry plan is also necessary to receive CMN Matching Funds.
